Gladiators used a spiked club called a mace. These frames aren't intended to be malicious, but they are sure scary when I am trying to get out my car after parallel parking on Main Street to check if John Hall as the piece of hardware I am looking for in Goshen. This photo shows a relatively small load. Many of these frames are as long and wide as the houses they are built to support.
